2. Universal building sealing material

Most buildings require long-term safe use. Therefore, the building sealing materials are generally required to withstand weather aging. There are many types of adhesive sealing materials currently used in building component assembly combinations, such as epoxy resin, polyurethane, polysulfide rubber, room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, silane modified polyether sealant, and the like. The currently applied silicone sealant is mainly a one-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, which has excellent aging resistance, safety and non-toxicity, and has become the first choice for bonding sealing materials in the construction industry. However, such silicone rubber must undergo condensation reaction by absorbing moisture in the air to remove cross-linking vulcanization to achieve cross-linking vulcanization. 3.4.2 Construction of joints of building components and construction technology of infused silicone rubber material

(3) Gluing the joints of building components

(4) Old building components joint repair application
 
Old component joint cleaning preparation: completely remove the old sealing material remaining in the joint. For the old sealing material that is difficult to remove, solvent dissolution, sand blasting or mechanical grinding can be used to remove the joints of the components. The inner wall is oil-free, dust-free and clean and dry.
 
Old component joint filling glue bonding test: Before the formal glueing construction, the old component joint filling glue bonding test is required, and the silicone rubber compound is poured into the cleaned joint, and the silicone rubber is cured after 24 hours. After that, the adhesion of the vulcanized silicone rubber to the joint is detected. If the bonding is not strong, the old joint is pre-primed, and then the glue is applied.
 
Gluing the seams of old components: The operation process is the same as that of the new building components. After the sealant is completely cured, check again to confirm that the adhesive seal is intact. If the defect is found, repair it immediately.
 
3.4.3 Primer recommendation
 
KSD-28 series two-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has excellent bonding properties, and for most clean general-purpose building substrates, reliable and durable bonding can be achieved without pre-coating primer.
 
For the repair and sealing of the joints of old concrete members, such as the original filler residue or the inner wall of the joint is contaminated, it may cause defects such as weak bonding when applying new silicone rubber repair. The primer can be applied by a clean fabric wiping or brushing, or by a spray gun. The application of the primer can only require a very thin layer of the wetting film.
